แนวทางการดําเนินงานดานเพศวิถี (sexuality) มีอยูหลากหลายดวยกัน แตที่ นิยมใชมากที่สุดนั้นเปนแนวทางที่อยูบน ฐานของมุมมองดาน ‘สุขภาพ’ และ ‘การ ปองกันความรุนแรง’ อันเปนจุดเริ่มตนที่มี ประโยชนอยางยิ่งในการปฏิบัติงานดาน เพศวิถี ซึ่งเปนเรื่องที่ถกเถียงขัดแยงใน สังคมอนุรักษนิยมหลายแหง ทวาวิธีคิดและ มุมมองทั้งสองนั้นมเีปาหมายที่เฉพาะเจาะจง (เพื่อสรางเสริมสุขภาพหรือเพื่อปองกันความ รุนแรง) จึงมีขอจํากัดและไมสามารถนํามาใช กับประเด็นที่เกี่ยวของกับเพศวิถีไดทั้งหมด ดังนั้นเราจึงตองการวิธีคิด ที่เนนและสนับสนุน (affirm) เพศวิถีในเชิงบวกและรอบดาน Continue reading arrow for change – why affirm sexuality?
