Convention on The Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW) for Youth

Although CEDAW mainly refers to ‘women’, the Convention reflects a life cycle approach and countries are obliged to promote the equal rights of women and girls. The different forms and areas of discrimination that CEDAW
focuses on are important to women of all ages, including girls and young women. This report highlights the important role of young women and men in holding their governments accountable in implementing CEDAW.
