Migration in the Context of Globalisation: Women’s Human Rights at Risk?

This report includes theoretical issues and analysis of migration as a consequence of international economic development and how these macro policies impact on women’s lives; practical case studies and theoretical insights which illustrate how migrant women’s rights are threatened and violated; actions by women’s organisations to defend migrant women’s rights and to develop alternatives to the current economic system; policy and practical recommendations that were made to strengthen the advocacy work of WIDE in synergy and close partnership with European migrant women networks and associations; and the roadmap developed during the conference which highlights different strategies to strengthen women’s rights.
